Here are Carrie’s words about her song:
“Someone told me once, I shouldn’t write a Christmas song with Easter elements. So I started writing an Easter song ON Christmas. In reality, one does not exist without the other, they are inseparable for me. “Jesus the Christ” would turn into an incredibly powerful song testifying of the Savior, Because I wrote it during the season we celebrate Him.
While children and youth sing on this track, it is meant for everyone. His sacrifice was for everyone.” – Carrie Yost
