Description
Matching Sentence Puzzles:
Cut each paper down the black diagonal line. In this
activity, the children will be matching the sentences together. Each half sentence
has an accompanying picture to help with retention and to help emerging readers
have fun with the activity too.
Place the first half of all the pictures on one side
of the chalkboard or wall and the last half of the pictures on the other side or you could tape them underneath chairs before the kids come into the room and have them find them.
Have each child come up one by one to find the correct matches. It’s best to do this in order so that the
children can practice as they piece together the matches or puzzle. One idea is to have the group sing the song on repeat while the children are putting the puzzle pieces together.
This one helps
them remember which lyrics go together and be more confident singing the song!
